They're limited to 250W on public roads, while some can go faster but should only be used on private land with permission. E-bikes have a 15.5mph speed limit on roads. As for privately owned electric scooters in the UK, they are currently illegal on public roads and should only be ridden on private land with permission. Future law changes are expected.
